Case Description
The coordinators of the Vesna movement are suspected of involvement in a non-profit organization whose activities are associated with inciting citizens to refuse to perform civic duties or commit other illegal acts. A criminal case was initiated against former and current members of the Vesna movement on June 5, 2023. The case involved more than 20 people, most of whom left Russia and are wanted. The case was initiated under only 7 articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
