Case Description
In Voronezh in June 2024, a local 33-year-old resident, Yana Manycheva, was detained. She was accused of "justifying terrorism. The reason for the criminal prosecution was three videos about the 'Legion of Freedom of Russia,' posted in 2023 on her page on VKontakte. The first video was about a girl who is fighting in this "Legion, the second was about the "Legion" and the "Azov" regiment." The woman was sent to a pre-trial detention center. March 2025 at the latest, the 2nd Western Military District Court found Yan Manicheva guilty, the size of the punishment is unknown, but it is most likely not related to imprisonment. On March 11, 2025, she was removed from the Rosfinmonitoring list. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
