According to the investigation, Menshikov installed jumpers on railway tracks on the 80 km stretch "Rezh - Strigano", along which trains with Russian military equipment run. According to law enforcement officials, the Ural resident also supports the 'views and beliefs' of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and even prepared to take part in the war on the side of Ukraine." The man does not deny his involvement in the crime, and in a conversation with security forces, he stated that he supports the violent seizure of Russian power. On September 30, 2022, the Verkh-Isetsky District Court of Yekaterinburg sent the man into custody. In December 2022, Vladlen was charged with a new accusation - of collaborating with a foreign state to the detriment of the Russian Federation.
