Case Description
On November 24, 2024, in the occupied Akimovka of the Zaporizhzhia region, a local 47-year-old resident, Ukrainian citizen Oksana Ivanchenko, was abducted right on the street in front of children. She was accused of treason. According to the security forces, the man poured a green-colored liquid into an urn. The reason for the criminal prosecution was that Ivanchenko sent data about the Russian military to the bot of the Ukrainian Telegram channel "RIA-Melitopol." 4. In this correspondence, Ukraine refused to strike these objects due to their proximity to peaceful structures. According to the version of Russian law enforcement, in May 2023, Ivanchenko collected and transmitted through an internet messenger to a representative of a foreign state information about the location of personnel and military equipment of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, as well as the address of the military commandant's office. According to the prosecution, the data transmitted by Ivanchenko was reliable and could have been used by the Ukrainian side to inflict fire damage on the locations of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, that is, against the country's security. August 2, 2024, at the latest, the Zaporizhzhia Regional Court found Oksana Ivanchenko guilty and sentenced her to 15 years of imprisonment to be served in a general regime correctional colony with a 1-year restriction of liberty. On December 16, 2024, the First Appellate Court of General Jurisdiction left the sentence unchanged.
