Case Description
In the city of Schastye in the occupied part of the Luhansk region, Ukrainian citizen Kirill Dygich was detained in April 2022. First, the man was held without any charges for 53 days, after which, on June 13, 2022, a criminal case was opened against him for espionage under the Criminal Code of the "LPR. The details of the charges are unknown. On March 14, 2023, Digich's charges were reclassified under Article 276 of the Criminal Code of Russia. On March 28, 2023, the Supreme Court of the Lugansk People's Republic found Kirill Digich guilty and sentenced him to 12 years in prison with serving the sentence in a strict regime colony. There is no information about appealing the verdict.
