Only Ilya Galchukov appealed the verdict. On March 19, 2024, the First Appellate Court of General Jurisdiction reduced his sentence to 12 years in a strict regime. September 13, 2024, Vladislav Stryukov was released as a result of a prisoner exchange between Russia and Ukraine.
