Nureev Danil Maratovich

In January 2023, three students were detained at one of the railway stations in the Chelyabinsk region - 18-year-olds Dmitry Davydenko and Andrey Ereklinstsev and 19-year-old Danil Nureev. According to law enforcement officials, a canister of gasoline, a gas cylinder, a burner and other items were seized at the scene of the detention. As a result, the young men were accused of attempting sabotage. According to law enforcement, in December 2022, the defendants "with the aim of undermining the economic security and defense capability of the Russian Federation, using a flammable liquid, committed arson of relay railway cabinets responsible for controlling trains and traffic lights at the Butaki railway station. [...] In addition, one of the defendants transferred money for the purpose of purchasing components for the manufacture of explosives and a homemade explosive device in order to commit a terrorist attack in another region of the Russian Federation." The Central District Court of Chelyabinsk sent all three to a detention center. On November 15, 2024, the Central Military District Court found the defendants guilty and sentenced Andrey Ereklinets to 12.5 years of strict regime with the first 4 years to be served in prison, and Dmitry Davydenko to 13 years and Danil Nureev to 15 years in a strict regime colony with the first 5 years to be served in prison. On October 20, 2025, the Appellate Military Court reduced Nureev's sentence by 1 month, leaving the sentences of the other defendants unchanged.
