Case Description
On April 15, 2024, in the Voronezh region, a criminal case was opened against Alexei Sharov, a resident of the village of Bychok, on charges of calling for terrorism and extremism. He was detained on April 18, 2024. The details of the charges are unknown. Possibly, the reason for initiating a criminal case could have been comments published on Odnoklassniki in 2023. The court sent Sharov to the SIZO. On August 8, 2024, the 2nd Western Military District Court found Alexey Sharov guilty and sentenced him to 4 years of imprisonment in a general regime colony. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
