Case Description
In Yakutsk in March 2025, FSB officers detained a 43-year-old local resident, journalist Alexandra Aleksandrova. She was accused of "public calls for terrorist activity" and "justifying terrorism. The details of the charges are unknown. Following the start of the war in Ukraine, Alexandrova left Russia, but returned to the country in 2024. While abroad, in her publications she criticized the actions of the Russian authorities: 'Few people probably wanted their homeland to turn into a "country Z"' - the journalist wrote. The court placed the defendant in the case in a remand prison.
