Case Description
On February 3, 2023, two local residents, Alexander Andreev and Pyotr Voskoboynik, were detained in the Krasnodar Territory. According to the investigation, an "unidentified person" allegedly contacted Andreev and Voskoboynik through a messenger. They were offered 10 thousand rubles each for setting fire to relay cabinets. Andreev and Voskoboynik allegedly received 'geographical coordinates,' after which they went to the SNT 'Druzhba' to beat a certain man and take money from him 'for the purchase of a crowbar for opening relay cabinets, as well as gasoline and engine oil.' They were detained there by FSB officers. Both were sent to a pre-trial detention center by court order. Judge Vasily Loboda of the Krasnodar Regional Court found the defendants guilty of preparing sabotage on December 18, 2023. Pyotr Voskoboynik was sentenced to 7 years in prison, and Alexander Andreev to 6 years and 6 months. For the first 2 years of the imposed sentence, he will have to serve in prison, and the remaining part - in a strict regime correctional colony. On October 18, 2024, the Third Appellate Court of General Jurisdiction upheld the verdict.
