Case Description
In Ussuriysk, Primorsky Krai, in April 2024, a criminal case was opened against local resident Yuriy Apanasenko, 49, for justifying terrorism. According to law enforcement officers, Apasenko is a supporter of the paramilitary organizations "Russian Volunteer Corps" and the "Freedom of Russia" legion. In the social network 'VKontakte' he posted publications in which he publicly called for the implementation of terrorist activities, as well as congratulated employees of the Ukrainian SBU on their professional holiday. It is unknown whether a preventive measure has been chosen. The 1st Eastern Military District Court found Yuri Apanasenko guilty and sentenced him to imprisonment. The size of the punishment and the date of the verdict are unknown. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
