Case Description
A criminal case was opened against Ukrainian citizen and "Azov" regiment serviceman Yan Samaratsky on charges of participating in a terrorist community and undergoing training for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activities. The date of detention and details of the charges are unknown. On November 13, 2024, the Southern District Military Court found Yan Samaratsky guilty and sentenced him to 24 years in a strict regime colony. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
