Case Description
1. On June 18, 2024, a search was conducted at the home of 49-year-old local resident Vladislav Ryaskin in the city of Kurilsk, Sakhalin Oblast. He was accused of justifying terrorism. The reason for the criminal prosecution was a post on "Odnoklassniki," the content of which is unknown. The man was detained and the next day, on June 19, he was sent to a pre-trial detention center. On May 15, 2024, the 1st Eastern Military District Court found Vladislav Ryaskin guilty and sentenced him to 7 years in a general regime penal colony.
