Case Description
30-year-old Ukrainian citizen, soldier of the Azov Regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Vladislav Lukyanov was taken prisoner by Russian soldiers in Mariupol, occupied part of Donetsk region, no later than the end of March 2022. A criminal case was opened against him for participating in a terrorist community and undergoing training for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activities. The reason for the criminal prosecution was service in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine of the nationalist "Azov" battalion, recognized as a terrorist organization in Russia. On December 23, 2025, the Southern Military District Court found Vladislav Lukyanov guilty, the amount of punishment is unknown.
