Case Description
In Moscow in August 2022, a criminal case was opened about "fakes" about the Russian army on the grounds of political hatred against politician Vladimir Milov. German Mozheis's criminal prosecution was prompted by a video titled "Putin's Crimes" on the "Navalny Live" channel. The politician himself left Russia in 2021. Milova was put on the wanted list in June 2022. On July 13, 2023, the Basmanny District Court of Moscow chose a measure of restraint for Vladimir Milov in the form of in absentia arrest. On 16 November 2023, Judge Yevgenia Nikolaeva of the Basmanny District Court of Moscow found Vladimir Milov guilty and sentenced him in absentia to eight years in prison." "2.
