Case Description
On August 27, 2024, in Vladivostok, 39-year-old local resident Vladimir Kharauchenko was detained on charges of calling for terrorism. The reason for the criminal prosecution was comments in Telegram "against the tsar and his oprichniki" and "against the senseless war." The man was placed in a pre-trial detention center for the duration of the investigation. On September 12, 2025, the Pacific Fleet Military Court found Vladimir Kharaustenko guilty and sentenced him to 7 years in a general regime colony." November 26, 2025, the Appellate Military Court left the sentence unchanged.
