According to the Russian investigation, on September 30, 2024, Gonza, armed with an AK-74 assault rifle and grenades, together with three fellow servicemen in an armored car "Kazak", illegally crossed the state border of the Russian Federation in the area of the checkpoint "Sudzha" and proceeded to the village of Olgovka in Korenevsky district with the aim of blocking and holding it. Upon arriving at the location, he took up an observation and fire position in a captured residential building, from where he observed the settlement, intimidated civilians, prohibited them from evacuating, and also transmitted information about Russian servicemen and adjusted fire on them.
