Case Description
Barinova was sentenced to two years and ten days in a general regime colony in April 2023. He was found guilty of hooliganism with the use of weapons and a threat of murder. Case was initiated because he shot at a banner advertising military service under contract. Vitaly Barinov previously reported that he was tortured. According to him, after the detention, security forces wanted to force him to confess to the arson of the military enlistment office in Kansk on September 24, 2022. A plastic bag wrapped in tape was put on the man's head, not allowing him to breathe, and he was also electrocuted.
