Case Description
On July 25, 2022, in Kherson during the city's occupation, Russian soldiers detained 66-year-old Ukrainian citizen and pensioner Viktor Humenyuk in his own home. A few days later, the man's relatives learned that he had been taken to the Kherson pre-trial detention center, where he spent more than three months. On November 5, 2022, Viktor was taken in an unknown direction. On June 16, 2023, released prisoners reported that the Ukrainian was likely held in Detention Center No. 1 in 3. Simferopol, then he was transferred to Simferopol Detention Center No. 2, and then to IK-5 in Kamyshin, Volgograd Oblast.
