Filatov Valeriy Nikolaevich (Filatov Valeriy Mikolayovich)

In the Starobelsk district of the occupied part of the Luhansk region, a criminal case was opened against Valeriy Filatov, a Ukrainian citizen with multiple previous convictions. The date of his detention is unknown. Filatov was accused of participating in a terrorist community, kidnapping people, robbery, extortion, and theft of weapons, as part of an organized group, with the use of weapons, with threats of violence dangerous to life and health, for mercenary motives. According to the investigation, from May 2014 to 2015, Filatov, having joined the Aidar battalion, together with accomplices, committed crimes against the civilian population. In August 2014 in Lisichansk, he, as part of an armed group, broke into a house, beat the owner in front of her children, kidnapped her, as well as money, equipment, and jewelry. After that, he extorted a car from her husband, threatening him with reprisals. In addition, in February 2015, in the Kremensky district, Filatov stopped a car, hit the driver with the butt of an assault rifle, placed him in the trunk, took him to a forest belt and stole the vehicle." At the request of the investigation, Filatov was placed in custody, and his accomplices were put on the wanted list.
