Case Description
In Arkhangelsk, no later than February 2025, a criminal case was initiated against 17-year-old local resident Sofia Aldabaeva. She was accused of justifying terrorism and calling for activities aimed against the security of the state. During a search of the girl's house, extremist symbols were allegedly found. According to the investigation, in public chats of one of the messengers, Aldabaeva "supported the ideology of terrorism" and posted materials calling for the implementation of terrorist activities. It is unknown what exactly the girl wrote. The Lomonosovsky District Court of Arkhangelsk sent the defendant in the case to a pre-trial detention center. On June 27, 2025, the Northern Fleet Military Court found Sofia Aldabaeva guilty and sentenced her to 5 years of imprisonment to be served in a general regime penal colony.
