В Мариуполе оккупированной части Донецкой области в мае 2022 года в плен к российским военным попал 25-летний гражданин Украины, военнослужащий полка «Азов» ВСУ Сергей Сызон. Его обвинили в убийстве двух лиц, совершённом организованной группой по мотивам политической и идеологической ненависти, а также в жестоком обращении с гражданским населением.
По версии российского следствия, в 2022 году на улице Таганрогской в Мариуполе Сызон без предупреждения расстрелял обратившегося к нему безоружного гражданского мужчину.
