Case Description
In Vladimir, no later than November 2023, a criminal case was opened against 62-year-old local resident Sergey Lukyanov on charges of justifying terrorism and public calls for extremism. Date of detention unknown. According to the investigation, from May 2022 to March 2023, Lukyanov, while at his place of residence, published materials on social networks 'aimed at forming a terrorist ideology.' There were also calls in his posts to commit terrorist and extremist activities against the authorities, military units and Russians supporting the SVO. September 4, 2024, the 2nd Western Military District Court found Sergey Lukyanov guilty and sentenced him to 6 years in a general regime colony and deprivation of the right to engage in activities related to website administration for 3 years. On December 17, 2024, the Appellate Military Court left the sentence unchanged.
