Case Description
In Rostov-on-Don, no later than autumn 2022 (the exact date is unknown), the resident of Melitopol, Ukrainian citizen Sergey Krivitsky, was detained. According to the FSB, the Ukrainian tried to buy components for the S-300 surface-to-air missile system. The special services also claim that Krivitsky is involved in an attempt to organize the supply of klystrons, used as part of S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems, in the interests of Ukrainian intelligence in November 2019 - then Ukrainian citizen Vasily Vasilenko was detained. He arrived in Moscow allegedly on behalf of Krivitsky to purchase klystrons. Sergey Krivitsky was accused of espionage and smuggling ammunition and sent to a pre-trial detention center. On February 5, 2024, the Rostov Regional Court found Sergey Krivitsky guilty and sentenced him to 11.5 years in a strict regime colony. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
