Case Description
In the Moscow region in May 2023, the FSB detained five young men. According to the security forces, they planned to use a tunnel to infiltrate a military unit in the Moscow region in order to blow up equipment and set it on fire. The young men allegedly developed an attack plan and escape routes, and also transported tools to the military unit in advance to make an underground passage. The FSB group was headed by 19-year-old Anton Khripko. He was accused of organizing a terrorist community, aiding terrorist activities, and involving a minor in a crime. The other four - 20-year-olds Ivan Silin, Ilya Korkach, Sergei Korkhov, and 15-year-old Leon Silashin - were accused of participating in a terrorist community and undergoing training for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activities. All five were sent to a pre-trial detention center. On July 28, 2025, the 2nd Western Military District Court found the defendants guilty and sentenced Anton Khripko to 19 years in a strict regime colony, 5 of which in prison, Sergey Korkhov, Ilya Korkach, and Ivan Silin to 16 years in strict regime with the first 3 years in prison, and Leon Silashin to 7 years in a strict regime colony.
