Lawyer Alexei Terletsky, together with the investigator, in order to expedite the completion of the case, misled him and, under threat of punishment, induced him to give false testimony against himself. According to Goryunov's testimony, Terletsky, in addition to receiving a fee from Goryunov himself, was paid for his services from the federal budget as a court-appointed attorney. On January 18, 2024, the Supreme Court of the Republic of Crimea found Sergey Goryunov guilty and sentenced him to 12 years in prison with a fine of 400 thousand. rubles.
