Case Description
March 29, 2023, a strike was carried out on a railway depot in Melitopol, in the occupied Zaporizhzhia region, located far from the front line. As a result of the attack, the city was left without electricity. Later, 30-year-old Ukrainian citizen Sergey Bogdanov was detained on charges of committing sabotage. According to the FSB's version, Bogdanov passed the coordinates of a railway depot in Melitopol to Ukrainian special services for a strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The court sent the Ukrainian man into custody. On December 3, 2024, the Zaporizhzhia Regional Court found Sergey Bogdanov guilty and sentenced him to 14 years in a strict regime colony. There is no information about appealing the verdict.
