Case Description
In the village of Yekaterinoslavka, Amur Region, in mid-July 2022, 60-year-old local resident Sergey Avramenko. He was accused of illegal possession of weapons. The details of the charges are unknown. The court placed the man in a pre-trial detention center. A year later, the charges were toughened — the article on attempted terrorist attack was added. Details of the charges are also unknown. Sam Avramenko claims that the accusation is based on the testimony of "two planted provocateurs." On October 25, 2025, the 1st Eastern District Military Court found Sergey Avramenko guilty and sentenced him to 9 years of imprisonment in a strict regime colony. On September 1, 2025, the Appellate Military Court reduced the sentence by 2 months.
