Case Description
In May 2024, it became known that a criminal case was opened against Rostislav Murzagulov, the former chairman of the Public Chamber of Bashkortostan, for evading the fulfillment of obligations provided for by the legislation of the Russian Federation on foreign agents, and "fakes about the Russian army" motivated by political hatred. The reason for the criminal prosecution was a film titled "A Month in Ukraine: War and Peace Through the Eyes of a Former Kremlin Propagandist, published on the YouTube channel of Mikhail Khodorkovsky's project "Open Media. After the war began, Murzagulov left Russia and in August 2022 became the host of the political show 'Uncensored News' on the YouTube channel 'Open Media'. This channel was later renamed NEVZLIN media. At the end of September 2024, he was put on the wanted list.
