Case Description
Roman Linkov, a 46-year-old local resident, was detained in the Penza region on September 11, 2024. He was taken to the forest, where he was beaten and threatened, demanding a confession. Linkov was accused of confidential cooperation to the detriment of Russia and participation in the activities of a terrorist organization. According to the investigation, Linkov joined the 'Freedom of Russia' legion and distributed leaflets of a banned organization. On September 13, 2024, the court placed the defendant under house arrest. On November 11, 2025, the Central Military District Court found Roman Linkov guilty and sentenced him to 14 years in a strict regime colony, the first 5 years of which he must spend in prison. The court also ordered the confiscation of equipment seized from him during the search in favor of the state. The man was taken into custody in the courtroom.
