Case Description
In the village of Chmyrovka in the occupied Luhansk region, a 67-year-old local resident, Ukrainian citizen Petro Tsarevsky, was abducted no later than March 2022. Later, a criminal case was opened against him for participating in a terrorist community. According to the version of Russian security forces, from April to December 2014, Tsarevsky was a member of the 'Self-Defense of Starobelsk', which was part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces battalion 'Aidar'." On June 18, 2024, the Southern District Military Court found Pyotr Tsarevsky guilty, the sentence is unknown. The court reclassified the charge to organizing the activities of a terrorist organization. January 29, 2025, the Appellate Military Court left the sentence unchanged.
