Case Description
In Moscow in June 2025, a search was conducted at the home of 60-year-old local resident, writer and historian of Russian cuisine Pavel Syutkin. All his equipment was confiscated. In October 2025, a criminal case was opened against Syutkin for spreading "fakes" about the Russian army motivated by political hatred. The reason for initiating the case was the writer's post about the events in Bucha, published in 2022. On October 9, 2025, the Cheryomushkinsky District Court of Moscow sent the case's defendant into custody.
