Case Description
35-year-old local resident Pavel Korshunov was detained in the city of Tolyatti, Samara region, at the end of September 2022. The detention took place with the participation of a large number of special forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs." "Pavel, according to the investigation, set fire to the building of the Tolyatti administration the day after the announcement of mobilization." In the video published in the security forces' networks, Korshunov states that he wanted to interfere with mobilization. A criminal case was opened against Korshunov for "terrorism causing significant property damage" and "vandalism motivated by political hatred." July 1, 2024, the Central Military District Court found Pavel Korshunov guilty and sentenced him to 13 years in a strict regime colony. On March 31, 2025, the Appellate Military Court left the verdict unchanged.
