Case Description
In early August 2024, FSB officers detained a 53-year-old local resident, Olga Antonova, a social worker at one of the budget institutions, in Khakassia. She was accused of terrorist propaganda. According to the FSB's version, the woman was an activist of a certain "extremist organization banned in Russia in 2021. On her social media page, she allegedly posted "positive information about the activities of the Ukrainian terrorist structure involved in armed attacks on civilians in the Belgorod region" and "propagandistic" videos aimed at justifying the activities of the terrorist organization "Legion of Freedom of Russia, which is banned in the Russian Federation. In Haikassia, a resident did not support Russia's invasion of Ukraine. It is unknown whether a preventive measure has been chosen. November 18, 2024, the 2nd Eastern Military District Court found Olga Antonova guilty and sentenced her to a fine of 300 thousand. rubles and deprived her of the right to administer websites on the internet for 2 years. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
