Subsequently, a criminal case was opened against him for participating in a terrorist community in connection with the Ukrainian's service in the "Aidar" battalion, recognized as terrorist in Russia. According to the Russian investigation's version, Zaklekto was mobilized into the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in November 2023. He served in a training center in the position of a shooter. A month later, the man, being aware of the terrorist nature of the activity, transferred to one of the national battalions and participated in combat operations in the area of Konstantinovka in the Donetsk People's Republic as part of it, where he was captured by servicemen of the Armed Forces of Russia, while actively resisting with the use of small arms." On April 16, 2025, the Southern Military District Court found Oleg Zaklekta guilty and sentenced him to 12 years in a strict regime colony, three of which he will spend in prison.
