Abdyukov Oleg Sergeevich (Abdyukov Oleg Sergiyovich)

26-year-old Ukrainian citizen, serviceman of the "Azov" regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleg Abdukov was taken prisoner by Russian servicemen in Mariupol, occupied part of Donetsk region, no later than April 2022. He was accused of murdering two people, committed in a manner dangerous to the public, by an organized group, on the grounds of political and ideological hatred, as well as cruel treatment of the civilian population. According to the Russian investigation, in March 2022, Abdyukov, while on a combat position in Mariupol, fired a grenade launcher at a vehicle moving along Kupriina Street, which had two civilians inside. Both men died at the scene from their injuries. On December 18, 2024, the Supreme Court of the Donetsk People's Republic found Oleg Abdyukov guilty and sentenced him to 24 years of imprisonment to be served in a strict regime correctional colony. On March 13, 2025, the First Appellate Court of General Jurisdiction left the sentence unchanged. Later, a second criminal case was opened against Abdyukov - on participation in a terrorist community and undergoing training for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activities. The reason for the criminal prosecution was service in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine of the nationalist "Azov" battalion, recognized as a terrorist organization in Russia.
