Case Description
No later than July 2025, 69-year-old philosopher and sociologist Nikolai Zyuzev was detained. He was accused of confidential cooperation to the detriment of the interests of the Russian Federation. Details of the charges and the region where the scientist was detained are unknown. During the investigation, the defendant in the case was placed in a pre-trial detention center, it is unknown which court made the decision to arrest him. Then Zyuzev was escorted to the Komi Republic, where the Syktyvkar City Court on August 26, 2025, extended the term of the scientist's detention in custody.
