Egorov Nikita Valerevich

On April 3, 2024, Nikita Yegorov, a 37-year-old local activist, deputy's assistant, and operator at the Ivanovo Cable Plant, was detained in Ivanovo. He was accused of public calls for extremism and terrorism. According to the investigation and the court, from June 2023 to February 2024, Yegorov, harboring hostility toward representatives of the authorities, the president, military personnel, and people of Russian and Chechen nationalities, posted comments in Telegram channels "Krem chat," "AteoPremiumChat," "ukrainskyi chat 24/7," and "insider chat" that contained calls for violent actions and terror. The indictment stated that Yegorov published at least 30 comments, among which, according to the court, were statements: - "Death to the Russians" (09.08.2023); - "It's time to start clearing out the remaining Russian scum in Crimea, they don't deserve to live" (12.08.2023); - "Russians need to be destroyed... the Russian scum don't deserve the right to life" (20.10.2023); - "Russians need to be killed, killed..." (09.01.2024); - "This is worth expecting. The Russian scum led by the insane führer won't calm down, the only way out is a nuclear strike on Moscow" (11.01.2024); - "Glory to Navalny, death to Putin and rashists" (14.02.2024); - "Death to bald pedophile Putin, yes to mass terrorist attacks on the territory of Russia" (16.02.2024); - "Death to Russians, kill them all without exception... Long live terrorist attacks throughout Russia" (17.02.2024). The investigation considered these statements to contain calls for the murder of the president and citizens of Russia, as well as approval and encouragement of terrorist activities, committed in the public domain using information and telecommunications networks. Yegorov was placed in custody during the investigation. While he was already in the SIZO, he was held administratively liable under the article on inciting hatred or enmity, or humiliating human dignity, for a comment in Telegram: "What did you say, Putin's scum? Your place is in the latrine, you creature, yes to terrorist attacks throughout Russia, yes to the murder of Russian pigs in all the cities of the latrine, and you can only bark here, Russian shit." On August 21, 2024, the 2nd Zapadny Okruzhnoi Voennyi Sud found Nikita Yegorov guilty and sentenced him to 5 years of imprisonment in a general regime colony and a 3-year ban on administering websites on the internet. The sentence was not appealed and entered into legal force.
