В пгт Октябрьское, Красногвардейского района аннексированной Республики Крым 22 марта 2025 года пропал 22-летний местный житель, писатель Нестор Штормовой. Не позднее августа того же года ему предъявили обвинение в государственной измене и участии в деятельности террористической организации, подробности обвинения неизвестны. Молодого человека поместили в СИЗО-2 Симферополя.
