Vishnevetskiy Mikhail Vladimirovich

In late November 2024, the FSB detained 39-year-old Mikhail Vishnevsky, a resident of Belogorsk, in the Amur region. He was accused of attempted sabotage by a group of persons by prior conspiracy, and participation in terrorist activities. According to the security forces, Vishnevsky, being against the "SVO", in October 2024 entered into a conspiracy with members of the pro-Ukrainian organization "Russian Volunteer Corps", recognized as a terrorist organization in Russia, to commit sabotage. The defendant in the case studied manuals on mine-blasting work and found the components necessary for an IED. It is alleged that the man, together with an acquaintance, planned to carry out an explosion of the railway track on the Trans-Siberian Railway on the railway section Belogorsk - Ukraine in the Amur region." According to reports, after carrying out the sabotage, he planned to leave for Ukraine and join the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, but he was detained. At the request of the investigation, the court placed the defendant in the case in a remand prison. In May 2025, the charges against Vishnevsky were toughened — an article on treason was added. On July 28, 2025, the 1st Eastern District Military Court found Mikhail Vishnevsky guilty and sentenced him to imprisonment in a strict regime colony and a prison term. The size of the punishment is unknown. On November 26, 2025, the Appellate Military Court upheld the verdict.
