Case Description
In early March 2024, it became known in the Sverdlovsk region about a criminal case of espionage against Ukrainian citizen Mikhail Sukhachev—the case was submitted to the Sverdlovsk Regional Court for consideration. The exact date of the initiation of the criminal case is unknown. According to the investigation, Sukhachyov passed on data to Ukraine about the work of Russian army air defence missile units in the partially occupied Zaporizhzhia region. On 23 September 2024, the Zaporizhzhia Regional Court found Mikhail Sukhachyov guilty and sentenced him to 14 years in a strict regime penal colony.
