Case Description
On October 16, 2024, Maxim Golovanov, a 37-year-old local resident, was detained in Moscow. A criminal case was opened against him for calls for terrorism. The criminal prosecution was prompted by posts in a closed Facebook account about the RDK and the "Freedom Russia" legion. On October 17, 2024, the Golovinsky District Court of Moscow sent the Muscovite into custody. On May 30, 2025, the 2nd Western District Military Court found Maxim Golovanov guilty and sentenced him to 3 years in a general regime colony. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
