Case Description
A criminal case was opened against 25-year-old Ukrainian citizen and military serviceman of the Azov separate regiment Maxim Bozhko for participation in a terrorist community and undergoing training for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activities." The date of his capture is unknown. The reason for the criminal prosecution was most likely his service in the "Azov" regiment, which is recognized as a terrorist organization in Russia. January 16, 2025, the Southern District Military Court found Maksim Bozhko guilty and sentenced him to 18 years in a strict regime colony. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
