Case Description

The Main Editor of "Skat media" and former federal coordinator of the "Vesna" movement and coordinator of Navalny's headquarters in Krasnodar, Lev Gyammer, was put on the wanted list by the Ministry of Internal Affairs at the end of June 2023. He was accused of organizing the activities of the extremist community "Vesna", spreading "fakes" about the Russian army, calling for activities that threaten the security of the Russian Federation, and spreading "disrespectful information about days of military glory. The reason for the criminal prosecution was "Vesna's" posts on social networks in 2022 about the number of dead Russian military personnel, as well as about the events in Bucha and other settlements in the Kyiv region, Vesna's" calls for military personnel to refuse to participate in hostilities or surrender, as well as posts on Telegram and VKontakte that contained criticism of the state-promoted ways of celebrating Victory Day." Gyammer himself left for Georgia in 2021 after a criminal case was opened against Navalny's associates for 'participating in an extremist community.' In October 2022, he began receiving messages from unknown people who claimed to be his mother Olga Gyammer (she died back in 2019) and sent "greetings" from her. On July 22, 2024, the Basmanny District Court of Moscow issued an arrest warrant for Gyammer in absentia. The term of arrest is calculated from the moment of his extradition or detention on the territory of the Russian Federation.
