Case Description
In Bryansk on April 27, 2023, security forces conducted a search at the home of Konstantin Pavlov, a deputy of the Bryansk regional parliament, his son Pavel Pavlov, entrepreneur Alexander Fomin, and his son Roman Fomin. A criminal case was opened against them for fraud on a particularly large scale. According to the investigation, in 2020 they promised the Bryansk entrepreneur Timoshkov 50 million rubles for." help obtain permission to open a shopping and entertainment center. The businessman allegedly transferred 35 million rubles to the men but did not receive help. On April 27, 2023, the court placed the men in a pre-trial detention center. 18 October 2024, the Soviet District Court of Bryansk found the defendants guilty and sentenced Konstantin Pavlov to 6 years in a general regime colony. On October 3, 2025, the Bryansk Regional Court upheld the verdict.
