Shavrov Ivan Andreevich (Shavrov Ivan Andriyovich)

In the village of Velikaya Belozerka in the occupied Zaporizhzhia region, no later than May 2023, 26-year-old local resident, Ukrainian citizen Ivan Shavrov, was detained. At first he was accused of illegal handling of explosives and explosive devices, but later, after the verdict was passed in the first case, a second criminal case was opened against the Ukrainian - for espionage. The details of the charges are unknown. For the duration of the investigation, the defendant was placed in a pre-trial detention center. According to Shavrov himself, the cases against him are fabricated: he never had any explosives and "has no relation whatsoever" to espionage. All he wanted was to go to Ukraine with his father, who suffered from acute heart failure, for his treatment.
