Case Description
65-year-old pensioner, Ukrainian citizen with forced Russian citizenship Irina Sukhovey was detained in occupied Melitopol, Zaporizhzhia region, no later than May 12, 2025. She was accused of treason. According to the Russian investigation, in 2023-2024, Sukhovey repeatedly transferred money to settlement accounts that were used by Ukrainian special services and the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The woman was placed in a pre-trial detention center. On December 12, 2025, the Zaporizhzhia Regional Court found Irina Sukhovey guilty and sentenced her to 12.5 years in a general regime penal colony.
