Case Description
In the city of Naro-Fominsk in the Moscow region, no later than June 2025, a 31-year-old local resident, Igor Nikitin, a native of the city of Tobolsk, was detained. He was accused of participating in the activities of a terrorist organization. According to the investigation, Nikitin corresponded with the Mobilization Center of the 'Civil Council' unit of the 'Freedom of Russia' Legion. He submitted a questionnaire and received instructions from handlers on crossing the border and recommendations for covert actions aimed at participating in combat operations on the side of Ukraine as part of the Legion 'Freedom of Russia'. The Narofominsk City Court of the Moscow Region chose a measure of restraint for the defendant in the form of detention.
