Minin Gennadiy Nikolaevich (Minin Gennadiy Mikolayovich)

In the occupied part of the Luhansk region, no later than November 2024, 60-year-old Ukrainian citizen and soldier of the "Aidar" regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Gennady Minin was taken prisoner by Russian military personnel. A criminal case was opened against him for participating in a terrorist community and undergoing training for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activities. The reason for the criminal prosecution was his service in the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the nationalist Aidar battalion, which is recognized as a terrorist organization in Russia. According to the Russian investigation, in February 2018, Minin voluntarily joined the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' Aidar Battalion. In the temporary deployment points of the battalion in the territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, Dnipropetrovsk and Lviv regions of Ukraine, he performed duties related to the selection and registration of personnel for the battalion. On March 13, 2025, the Southern Military Court found Gennady Minin guilty, the size of the punishment is unknown. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
