The reason for the criminal prosecution was service in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine of the nationalist "Azov" battalion, recognized as a terrorist organization in Russia. According to the Russian investigation, in October 2015, Minakov voluntarily joined the Azov regiment. At training bases, he underwent training, mastered the rules of handling weapons and explosives." 5.
